This site is run by Neil Bunker, trading as Autonocte, in the United Kingdom. To have anything on this page explained or actioned, email neil@autonocte.com.
What the form collects
The enquiry form on the home page collects three things, all of them supplied by you:
- your name
- your email address
- the description of the work you entered
There is nothing else on the form and nothing is collected in the background.
Where it goes
When you send the form, it goes to this site’s own server, which passes it to Web3Forms, a form relay service. Web3Forms turns it into an email and sends that email to neil@autonocte.com. Web3Forms handles the message in transit; they are not sent anything you did not put in the form. Your browser never contacts them directly.
Your enquiry is then held in that inbox and handled as any other business email to that address.
The lawful basis for holding it
Legitimate interests: you asked about work, so your details are needed to reply to you. If you would prefer they were not held, request deletion and they will be removed.
How long it is kept
For as long as the conversation is live, and afterwards as a record of who has been quoted. In every case it is deleted no later than two years after the last contact. Ask for it to be deleted sooner and it will be, with a confirmation once it is done.
What does not happen
- No marketing list. Sending the form does not subscribe you to anything.
- No selling or sharing your details with anyone else.
- No advertising, no tracking pixels, no analytics of any kind.
- No cookies. This site sets none, so there is no consent banner.
- No third-party scripts. Everything the page loads comes from this site.
The one technical exception
To stop the form being used for spam, the server briefly notes the IP address a submission came from and counts how many arrive in a minute. That count is held in memory for sixty seconds and then discarded. It is never written to a file, never stored, and never attached to your enquiry.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email neil@autonocte.com and it will be actioned within a month.
If you are not happy with how your data has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
